Morrisons School Uniform Review
Nothing cements that end of summer feeling like a last minute attempt to buy school uniform.
If you are lucky enough to still be able to buy supermarket school uniform, then it’s worth checking out the Morrisons own line of uniforms forming part of their Nutmeg range.
The back to school basics include Teflon coated trousers and skirts, simple polo necks and easy-iron shirts – all for an incredibly purse-friendly price.
Let’s face it, school uniform in primary school has to be about longevity, good washing ability, in the right colours as well as being suitable for emergency goal posts.

The Nutmeg cardigan for girls, is soft and made from 100 per cent cotton. It has heart shaped buttons and a very slight puff sleeved detail.
The skirt is tough and hard wearing, made of Teflon coated Polyester and Viscose with a Cotton Drill feel to it. The waist is adjustable with inner elastic and buttons. This design means it will grow with your child and likely last at least a full year.
Four year old Astrid, is also wearing a white cotton polo neck T-shirt. It’s incredibly soft to the touch and features a slight puff to the sleeves, a scalloped collar and flower shaped buttons.
The uniform looks neat, tidy and according to Astrid, is comfortable. The T-shirts come in a multi-pack, with the entire uniform of polo neck, shirt and skirt coming in at less than £10.
Astrid, though po faced at the play interruption, said she really liked the uniform and it made her more excited to go back to school.

Four year old Vinnie and mum Hollie, tested out the uniform for boys.
Hollie encountered a slight issue on the jumper sizing, needing the next size up in relation to Vinnie’s age. But otherwise she said it was ‘very comfortable’ and ‘very good value for the price’.

The Morrisons range starts from £2 and is available from stores across the UK.
