Public Consultation Opens for New CST Trinity Academy School in North Bristol

A consultation will be taking place, gathering public views over the opening of a new academy school in North Bristol.

CST Trinty Academy, will be holding a formal consultation on Tuesday 17 April, as part of the process of opening a new academy school.

The consultation will allow local residents as well as staff and governors from schools in the proposed area to share their views. The consultation will not be about building or planning applications regarding the site which is proposed to be on land near Stoke Park Primary School on Romney Avenue.

The Trust aims to open the for September 2019, with a year 7 intake only of 180 places. At full capacity, the school will teach 1220 students including sixth form provision.

There are currently no published details on admissions arrangements and how students will be selected for Trinity Academy.

Bristol Cathedral Choir School – the most over subscribed school in Bristol – and Cathedral Choir School, both the original schools in the CST MAT, use random allocation as their main admissions criteria.

The consultation will close on Friday 15 June 2018.
