Parents Reckon Swearing In Front of Their Children is OK
If you mingle around the swathes of people in Broadmead Bristol, it won’t come as surprise that more than one in five parents drop swear bombs around their children.
Those who did so thought it was fine to use the words because their children were ‘too young to understand’.
But, a third continued to swear in front of their children even when they were old enough to understand the meaning of their words. They simply forbid their children to copy them.
The swearing habit causes friendship issues, with one in five adults having to apologise for their use of swear words in front of their friends’s children.
The study was conducted by ChannelMum.com, which found that one in five parents thought swearing was harmless because they are just words forming everyday language.
