South West drivers most easily distracted

Drivers in the South West are the most easily distracted, according to research by the RAC.

A staggering 45 per cent of drivers in the area admit to losing concentration while behind the wheel.

Young drivers are the most likely to lose concentration with 55 per cent confessing that they become ‘seriously distracted’.

Not surprising when 26 per cent of drivers between the ages of 17 – 24 admitted to texting on the road.

The findings have been published in the RAC’s annual report on motoring: Driven to Distraction.
