Bristol Christmas Market Returns 06 November 2026
Just how much does it cost to trade at the festive event?
The Bristol Christmas Market 2026 returns to Broadmead really quite soon. This year’s event runs from 06 November – 23 December 2026. It’s been running in the city for nearly 20 years, bringing in millions of visitors from Bristol and beyond across the season.
The market will be setting up from 25 October this year, with more than 40 chalets selling goods as well as food and drink options.
Trading at the market comes with a strict set of dos and don’ts – as well as some hefty price tags.
Prices for stalls start from £3,900 + VAT for a Counter Top Chalet sized 3.0m x 2.2m.
Electricity is an additional charge on to, with prices up to £45 + VAT per day.
Mandatory Christmas decorations will be placed on top of the roofs of chalets which is an additional £140.
Traders must also pay a £500 bond. For traders falling foul of late payments, opening up stalls late or other things breaching terms and conditions, money will be deducted.
Traders are not allowed to play music in their chalets at all. Those doing so will lose their entire trader bond.

There are strict rules around how chalets must be decorated. Anything that is not approved will be removed. Some of the things banned from chalets are information signs, tinsel, plastic signs, aluminium signs and plastic banners.
Any menus must be on a wooden background in line with the market’s ‘traditional theme’.
Further decorations to the chalet must adhere to the market’s colour scheme of green, red and gold – ‘No other colours are permitted.’

The Bristol Christmas Market says this year there will be the traditional ferris wheel, Christmas train, snow every evening, live music and Jäger Barn Bar.
