Recession busted through food bill
Mums have been obsessing over the weekly food bill to get them through the recession.
Whilst 72 per cent of parents have increased their time comparing food prices, 96 per cent have adopted new shopping habits to reduce the weekly food bill by stopping impulse buys and comparing cost per gram.
It’s not just supermarket shopping where changes are being made. Mums have stopped take-aways, cut out deserts and even introduced cheaper vegetarian menus.
The research came from Dalepak, who noticed a sudden surge in the consumption of their vegetarian food.
