Baby food guru works magic at the zoo

Popular baby and toddler nutritionist Annabel Karmel, has been helping to feed a fussy eater at a UK tourist attraction.

Chessington Zoo’s five month old lemur Smeagol, needed some gentle persuasion after picking up some fussy eating habits.

Annabel was called in to design a special meal to disguise apples in the lemur’s diet after the animal refused to eat them.

Adapting her festive Rudolph the Red Nosed Baked Potato recipe, Smeagol was soon eating disguised apple.

Annabel said: “It’s been a pleasure to work with Chessington. It just goes to show that the way you present food to children, or a fussy lemur, makes a big difference to whether they eat it or not.”
