Bristol residents to have say on cluttered pavements consultation
Bristol residents struggling to get along cluttered pavements outside of bars or cafés can now have a say on council proposals to introduce new regulations.
Bristol City Council are drafting proposals for a city wide scheme making businesses placing tables and chairs on pavements to pay a charge of £55 per table and up to four chairs.
The plans come following concerns from members of the public and wheelchair users struggling to walk along some of the city’s busiest pavements due to the furniture mainly left outside of cafés and licensed premises.
