Tax credit deadline looms

Families  who  haven’t renewed their tax credits need to get a move on as the 31 July deadline is looking.

HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC) are reminding families who haven’t done so that payments will stop.

Renewing can be done over the phone, with HMRC needing to know of  any changes in your circumstances including working hours, childcare costs or pay.

HMRC’s Director of Benefits and Credits, Steve Lamey said: “Time is running out to renew your tax credits. Don’t leave it until the last minute – get it done now, and ensure your payments continue after July.”
