Aardman down on the farm a success
Aardman animated Windmill Hill City Farm (WHCF) this weekend raising nearly £3000 towards the Save Our Farm appeal.
Families enjoyed workshops in model making, drawing, animation and sound design as well as other traditional fun and games.
WHCF Trustee, Emma Page said.“AARDMAN and the farm staff have put so much work into today and everyone thoroughly enjoyed it! The kids learnt so much about art and animation and loved learning it from the experts. And of course Rosie had to add her own special touch to the day by going into labour! A true diva!”
Rosie, the farm’s own pig finally went into labour on the big day adding piglets to the collection of farmyard residents.
The Farm Pledge goes into its final week with just 85 more people needed to help raise £12,500 in one go. A total of 500 people are needed to pledge just £25 by 31 October. If all 500 pledges are met, the farm raises a massive £12,500 in one swoop.
So far the Save Our Farm Appeal has raised £25,000 of the £50,000 total needed to keep the farm open.
