Average under ten year old, eats £26 per month in takeaway junk

Parents are lying to themselves and other parents about the amount of junk food their children are eating.

According to findings by VoucherCodesPro.co.uk, the average spend on children’s junk food intake is £26 per month.

One fifth of UK parents with children aged 10 years or under admitted to lying about how much takeaway pizza, chocolate and burgers were being eaten by their family.

A 42 per cent of these parents who lied did so because they wanted to avoid others judging them.

But of all the parents taking part in the survey, 48 per cent said their children were overweight, with 19 per cent putting them on a diet.
