Back to basics birthday parties swing back into favour
Birthday Party Politics is more contentious than the happenings of Westminster.
Non RSVPers, missing out certain children, outdoing the party before all create complications, ruin friendships and cause excessive alcohol consumption during the stress.
So a study of more than 1000 parents by One4all, looked into the current political climate of birthday parties to see if we are headed for oblivion.
It appears we’ve all gone a bit 80s with our direction. The majority wanted a party in the home or secondly a church hall. And 74 per cent chose bouncy castles as the entertainment, followed by 66 per cent hiring a magician and 65 per cent choosing a face painter.
Managing director at One4all Gift Cards, Declan Byrne said: “It’s lovely to see that so many parents are turning their backs on outlandish parties and the silly politics which can sometimes come with them, when it comes to throwing birthday celebrations. A minority of parents have come under fire lately for getting too political or ambitious with children’s birthday celebrations – so it’s great to see a return to inexpensive and simply fun party set-ups, as inspired by many parents’ own childhoods.”
