Bath Tops List of Most Picturesque Places in Fun Survey

Bath is the most picturesque place in England, according to a new study.

The top ten most picturesque towns and villages were compiled by retailer OKA, which put Bath in the number one spot.

The Roman spa town boasts attractions including Bath Abbey, the Crescent, Circus and the Roman Baths, and all surrounded by 725 listed buildings.

Canterbury came second with Oxford in third place.

A spokesperson for OKA said: “England is an incredibly picturesque country, full of stunning architecture, historic places of interest and rolling countryside. We wanted to find a way to rank the country’s most picturesque spots, and we’re not surprised that Bath takes the top spot. We’re also very happy to see Penzance make an appearance, as well a beautiful Cotswolds spot.”
