Better quality but high fees put parents off private education
The belief that private education offers better education than state schools still continues through hard times, with 21 per cent of parents keen to send their children to a fee paying school.
A study of 1,152 parents with children under the age of five years by MyVoucherCodes.co.uk, found that just 37 per cent didn’t want their child to go private, with 42 per cent not really sure.
A 64 per cent of parents wanting their child to have a private education believed it would provide a better quality education.
A lucky 8 per cent of private school parents had family members willing to pay the fees.
Of those parents not sure, 67 per cent were put off by the sheer expense of the fees.
