Big Green Box Week for Scouts

Scout groups across the country are helping to promote charity this week for ‘Big Green Box Week’.

ShelterBox is an international disaster relief charity providing emergency shelter to those affected by disasters, and UK Scout groups are taking part in events to raise funds.

Buckinghamshire Scout Leaders Michelle Chalker, who is taking part in Big Green Box Week says: “We made temporary shelters out of poles and tarpaulins, and lots of cardboard boxes. It was a great opportunity for the children to appreciate how lucky they are and how hard it is for people in other parts of the world affected by disasters and conflicts.”
