Big Issue eBike Ends Up in Bristol River

One of the recently launched Big Issue Ebikes has ended up where so many bikes have fallen in the past – The River Frome in St Jude’s.

AKA The Danny, the river runs through St Jude’s alongside Riverside Park. Many bikes have fallen victim to the river, with the remains of a YoBike visible at low water level long after the scheme ended its run in Bristol.

The bike scheme launched in the city in February 2021. Just three weeks into its operation, concerns were raised by the scheme regarding the high levels of vandalism the bikes were experiencing.
