Breaking News: Balloon Fiesta Derogatory Comment Crime
The stories that probably happen in Bristol:
Police in the city are investigating a row that broke out in the North Street area of Southville this week, after a resident made a disparaging comment about the Bristol International Balloon Fiesta.
The resident, who is believed to have moved to the city from London, caused a fight in a lounge bar near the Tobacco Factory Theatre.
The premises sustained £2000 worth of improvement after leather sofas ended up with a distressed look and upcycled furniture had glass smashed on chalk paint.
The owners of the chain expressed their dismay saying: “The International Balloon Fiesta is an institution in Bristol. We won’t tolerate dismissive comments about traffic, congestion or supermarkets in the area.”
A spokesperson for Avon and Somerset police said: “This is not a crime of hot air. Causing an affray is a crime and to speak ill of the much-loved Balloon Fiesta will not be tolerated from former Hackney Wick residents.”
Bristol residents are urged to report any further Balloon Fiesta Outrage to officers at Bridewell.
