Bristol Beacon Roof Leaking in the Rain
Controversial spend on a Bristol concert venue that isn’t waterproof
Spotted – the Bristol Beacon roof leaking in the rain last week – The Bristol Beacon has become one of the most controversial projects in Bristol in recent time. The refurbishment and development of the venue took five years with escalating costs finally coming in at £132m. The refurbishment was handled by architects Levitt Bernstein and managed by Willmott Dixon.
Despite only opening on 30 November 2023, rain was already finding its way through the roof and into the building on 05 July 2024.
We spotted rain dripping its way down onto the carpet of a front of house area just outside the main auditorium.
