CST Trinity Academy Announced – Bristol Cathedral Schools Trust Announce New Secondary School for North Bristol
A new school has been announced for North Bristol, which will be opened and run by Cathedral Schools Trust (CST)
The school location has been confirmed by the ESFA and Bristol City Council and will be built next to Stoke Park Primary School on Romney Aveney – though full public consultation and planning has yet to take place.
If the project goes according to plan, the first Year 7 students will start at the CST Trinity Academy in September 2019. Just 6 forms of entry – 180 students per year group – will be admitted to the school and they will initially only take Year 7 students in.
The eventual capacity will be 1220, including a sixth form.
Currently, CST run three primary schools in Bristol. They originated One from the secondary Bristol Cathedral Choir School, which ignores local children in favour of a wider city wide random allocation for the 120 places at the former private school.
