Bristol Children’s Hospital Rings Lollipop Be-Bop Light Up Again
The Bristol Children’s Hospital Rings now light up once more after a refurb on the much-loved sculpture.
The 20-year-old Lollipop Be-Bop rings – located outside of what is officially called Bristol Royal Hospital For Children but locally known as Bristol Children’s Hospital – underwent refurbishment funded through The Grand Appeal. This saw the sculpture light up once more.

The iconic sculpture has been fitted with up-to-date lighting tech, which can be interacted with by children from a panel on Level 3 of the hospital.
Connected Light worked with Electrio Ltd to re-design the lighting with new LED colour wash lighting. Casambi wireless controls were included with the design allowing control of each individual hoop, providing endless colourful options.
Lollipop Be-Bop is located outside the main entrance of the hospital on Upper Maudlin Street.
