Bristol school children will be dancing in the 14th Stages event

Bristol school children will be treading the boards this week, as the 14th annual Stages takes place.

This year, more than 1,500 children aged between five to eighteen years old will be taking part at the Colston Hall from Friday 5 – Sunday 7 February.

Organised by the Bristol Arts and Music Service, 45 schools will be involved including drama and performing arts students.

Stages producer, Shona Symons, said: “Now in its 14th year, the show illustrates the enthusiasm and skills we have in Bristol for dance and performing arts.

“Dance teaching in Bristol schools is of an extremely high standard, making Stages a very professional event. These shows are a tribute to the dedication and skill of all the children and staff who have worked for months to create some fantastic performances.”
