Bristol School girl takes on charity challenge for The Cots for Tots Appeal at The Bristol Hippodrome

A Bristol primary school child, is taking on a mighty challenge to help raise money for The Cots for Tots Appeal.
Year 5 Knowle Park Primary School student Charlotte Geraghty, has been raising money for the campaign since she was four years old.
Charlotte has now come up with another novel way to add to the £2,200.00 she has already raised.
On Saturday 16 May, Charlotte will be attempting to sit in all of the Bristol Hippodrome’s seats from the Upper Circle down to the front of the Stalls.
Charlotte said, “I am so excited, I can’t wait for the day to come and it will be brilliant to say I have sat in every single seat. I really want to try and raise lots of money for the Cots for Tots Appeal by completing the challenge!”
There are just under 2000 seats in the historic theatre’s auditorium, but Hippodrome Press Office Sarah Milne was confident Charlotte would manage her challenge before the house opens for that day’s show.
Sarah Milne said: “We couldn’t help but say yes after hearing of Charlotte’s proposed Hippodrome Seat Challenge, especially after meeting her and seeing how enthusiastic she is. Although it’s never been done before, we have no doubt that she’ll be finished by the time the Lord of the Dance matinee starts later that day!”
For her dedicated fundraising for The Cots for Tots Appeal, Charlotte was awarded The Lord Mayor of Bristol’s Young Persons Medal this year.
