Centre Bristol Vandalism College Green Water Fountain Destroyed
Central Bristol Water Fountain Vandalism:
A water fountain installed on College Green as part of an initiative to cut down on plastic waste in Bristol was vandalised over the weekend.
The fountain was one of eight installed in the city at the end of 2018 which aimed to prevent 50 miles of plastic bottle waste every year.
The scheme was the idea of Ali Jennings, the former Head of Communications at Bristol Water who passed away after the fountains were introduced.
The damaged fountain caused grass to become flooded on College Green until the supply was stopped on Sunday morning.
