Children pester parents into recycling
It’s pester power forcing UK adults to recycle household waste, according to findings from BusinesssWaste.co.uk.
A survey carried out with British families found that youngsters are learning about green issues at school and bringing their enthusiasm home to their parents.
Business Waste website spokesperson Mark Hall says: “Children are emerging as Britain’s top recyclers,”and it’s good habits drummed into them at school that’s behind this.”
More than 1800 families took part in the study which found that 52 per cent of children were the driving force behind making them recycle, compared to just 26 per cent of parents.
