Chopsy Baby is reviewing… Huggies Little Swimmers
Earlier this year, Huggies launched their first disposable swim pant featuring easy open and close sides, the first available on the UK market.
Whilst to new parents and the wider population this may not sound like a ground breaking development in the world of nappies, to those who have struggled to get a wet nappy off of a little wriggler after swimming, they have been a long time coming.
An average of eight out of ten UK mums now enjoy taking their babies swimming, recognising the health, fun and bonding benefits splashing with babies in the water brings.
A good quality nappy is key to having a good time. It needs to be leak proof, not swell up in the water and not smear poo down the back of the legs once the session is over.
Huggies® Little Swimmers® brand activation manager, Fiona Spiers, says: “Baby swimming is a great way for parents to bond with their little ones, although the risk of unfortunate bathroom accidents in the pool can be off-putting and stressful for some.
“Our Little Swimmers® swim pants allow babies to have non-stop fun in the water and provides mothers with the peace of mind that their babies have all the protection they need to enjoy uninterrupted fun in the water.”
The range of nappies feature Disney graphics and is available in sizes from newborn to toddlers.

Chopsy Baby’s Jen Smith with 14-month-old Astrid and mother Karen Whatley with 18-month-old Rhys.
Jen says: “Having used Huggies swim nappies as standard for around four years, I have found their quality to be excellent. They have never once leaked and can be totally relied upon. Rather than pull them off, I always ripped the sides apart, but even this has been a bit of a faff.
“Huggies have managed to improve upon their own quality by now having easy open sides. The nappy comes off with great ease, even when wet.
“Though I have never cared what picture is on a nappy, Astrid loves sitting away chatting to the fish on dry nappies left in the pack whilst I sort out everyone else.
“I have used these both on the beach and at the swimming pool and have found them to be consistently easy to use and to do their job well.”
Karen says: “I love to go swimming with my family, but hate it at the same time. It gets a bit mad in the changing room after. I must admit it makes my temper fray a bit having babies and children at different levels of readiness. And when I’m still soaked. I did find the swim nappy with the closing sides did make that aspect of getting ready a bit easier. It just comes undone quickly rather than locking and sliding down their legs.”
Best of all…
