Chopsy Baby is reviewing… Leap Frog – Maths Adventure To The Moon on DVD from Lionsgate

Leap Frog have released a brand new DVD aimed at making maths fun for pre-school children.

Maths Adventure To The Moon, follows school-going frogs Tad and Lily as they make some new friends and jet off into space. To complete their mission and get home safely, they need to use counting, sorting, numbers and pattern skills.

Meredith Browyn with four-year-old Seamus

Meredith says: “I am really impressed with this DVD despite my initial scepticism. Seamus is four-years-old and at nursery. But, they do plenty of number and counting games and this has just increased his interest and enthusiasm. He keeps pestering me to put on the DVD with the frogs and the magic bee. It was a while until I realised that this is what he meant.

“The DVD also has an alphabet song on it so the maths and letters are just reinforcing the learning he is doing at school when he comes home. As it’s a DVD he doesn’t realise he is learning.

“It’s great. I’m impressed with it and he loves it. Top marks.”

Best of all…
It shows young children how important numbers and patterns are within a context understandable to them.
