Chopsy Baby is reviewing… Persil non-bio and Comfort Pure
When it comes to washing detergent, there are many ways of selling the dream. The tiny sleeping baby on the Comfort Pure may entice us to think the product could make a screaming infant sleep peacefully – and smell nice. And the cart wheeling child on the non-bio may give the impression of innocent well-behaved fun. But, what we really actually want is clean clothes. That smell nice. Easily.
We put Persil non-bio and Comfort Pure to the test, with a mixed collection of children’s clothing that included:
Grass stains on white shorts
Mud on more white shorts
Food stains on baby grows
White emulsion paint on black trousers
A child’s nose bleed on white school shirt
None of the stains were treated before washing and the load went in at a 40 degree wash.
When the washing came out it smelled clean and fresh. There was none of the horrid clumps of white powder you can get with cheap brands of powder on low washes.
There was still faint evidence of blood on the child’s school shirt and slight food stains around the neck of the baby grows. But, Persil is not a miracle worker and had these stains been scrubbed or treated slightly prior to washing then it is likely there would have been no marking left.
The Comfort Pure will be great during the winter for clothes drying on a radiator. The gentle smell will permeate the house making it smell fresh.
Comfort Pure is also ideal for the hand washing of delicate items of baby wear.
Both products proved to work well in low amounts on a 40 degree wash.
