Chopsy Baby is reviewing… Raa Raa the Noisy Lion – Roaring Raa Raa
Chopsy Baby Says: “Well made toy that really entertains young ones.”
Rating: 8/10
Popular Cbeebies show, Raa Raa the Noisy Lion can now be enjoyed off the TV by your children, with this new toy from Tomy.
The Roaring Raa Raa has been designed for children aged 18 months upwards to engage with.
Raa Raa is the noisiest animal in the jungle and the object of play with this toy is to help him find his loudest roar.
This is done by pushing down on his head and then releasing to set the toy in motion. The toy then straightens up its legs, wiggles its head and brings its arms down as it roars. Through exploration, children will find a variety of roars and phrases. If the head isn’t pushed down hard, Raa Raa will tell the child he can roar louder than that.
The toy is a very good likeness of the TV character. It’s definitely a motion toy to play with rather than one to cuddle due to the hard plastic encasing the mechanics of the toy inside.
It stands at 30.5cm and takes two triple A batteries which are included at purchase.
Janice Milson tested out the toy with her two-year-old daughter Bea.
Janice says: “Bea likes watching Raa Raa on Cbeebies. It is one of her favourite programmes, though not the ultimate favourite. I didn’t think she would be fussed about this toy, but she adores it. She doesn’t have the strength to push it down herself but we play with it together. I think it is better this way because I get to share her pure enjoyment of the toy. She thinks it is hysterical the way it comes up roaring. Overall I am really impressed and Bea loves it.”
