The Gruffalo Word Rhyming Game from University Games, is aimed at children aged four years and above and between two and four players.
A set of 24 rhyming cards and an additional 21 for a bonus game complete the parts for two different games.
The first one is designed to help children with their rhyming skills, colour matching and reading. The second one is a race to collect the cards of all five different animals in the same colour.

The Gruffalo Word Rhyming Game, is fantastically simple but offers so much play opportunity for youngsters. This game is suitable for children aged four years and upwards, even nursery four-year-olds. There are two set games which may be more suitable for children around six years of age. But, in a test session with a group of four to five year olds, the adults present were able to adapt games making them suitable for the mixed abilities.
Young children were able to grasp the concept of matching rhyming words impressively quickly, and all thoroughly enjoyed the challenge.
The cards featuring aspects of the Gruffalo were bright, attractive and good quality standing up to a good battering from little hands.
This is a brilliant game for both learning and enjoyment. We highly recommend it.
