Christmas cut backs won’t affect the mother-in-law
With rows continuing to rage across the UK concerning Christmas arrangements, it is worth noting that the mother-in-law still strikes fear into the nation’s hearts.
Even though families are having to make cut backs, mums would rather buy fewer presents for their partners and spend the money on the in-laws, rather than face the disapproval of the ‘it’.
According to Littlewoods.com, 70 per cent of mothers are worried about how they are going to afford Christmas, but refuse to reduce the number of presents for their children.
The retailer’s research found that children can still look forwards to an average of £200 worth of presents.
Savvy mums are more likely to shop around for special offers, vouchers and don’t buy all their gifts in one go.
