Community Action Day Bristol as part of Stonewall Season LGBT+

Bristol will be celebrating Stonewall Season with a free Community Action Day in the City next month.

The event will aim to bring LGBT communities together with talks, activities, arts and crafts, storytelling and a rainbow-themed bake off.

The Bristol event takes place on Sunday 01 October 2017 at the Engine Shed.

Director of Fundraising at Stonewall, Louise Smith said: “We’re so happy and grateful to see so many people come together to support equality as part of Stonewall Season and are delighted to be launching in Bristol.

“As well as getting people together to have a good time, there’s a serious point to the Season. We need to work as part of a wider community to reach an even wider group of people with our positive message of LGBT inclusion.

“We can never be complacent about the rights we have worked so hard to win, and with so much change happening in Britain and around the world, we need to make sure LGBT equality stays high on the agenda.”

Stonewall Season is organised by Stonewall, a UK charity aiming to eliminate homophobia, biphobia and transphobia across all communities, aiming to create a safe world for everyone.
