Day out in Kingswood

Kingswood may not be the first idea for a day out, but for a parent looking for a variation on Broadmead and a different view, it has a lot to offer. Kingswood is in South Gloucestershire, but just a twenty minute bus ride from the centre of Bristol.

Children’s Centre
The children’s centre is based at the Park Community Centre. It offers the familiar Stay and Play sessions, mum sessions, dad sessions and breastfeeding support.

Shopping
The Kings Chase Shopping Centre on Regent Street, houses Sainsbury’s, Wilkinson, Boots, WHSmith and more. There are independent gift shops, party suppliers, charity shops and other stores along the main road.

Kingswood Park
Kingswood Park on High Street, is a serene haven in the busy area, with plenty of benches, green space and flowers. In the centre is a play area with roundabout, swings and motorbike spring mobile.

Kingswood Library
The library on High Street, hosts story times for children under five years and Rhyme Time for babies and toddlers.
