Dial-Up Internet Connection, Casette Tapes and Pagers are a Mystery to Young People Today
Technology has come so far from the rage inducing days of dial-up internet connection, zip drives and floppy disks it is beyond recognition to the youth of today.
A fun study of by VoucherCodesPro.co.uk of over 2000 Brits aged 18-21, asked how far back their tech knowledge went.
According to their findings, dial-up internet, HitClips or floppy discs were a mystery, though some had heard Tamagotchis, Polaroid cameras and vinyl.
Amusingly, 74 per cent own a phone which had a built in mp3 player, camera and other functions rather than just being a device to call and send text messages.
The top ten list of tech that current 18-21 year olds are clueless about were found to be:
Dial-up internet – 97 per cent
HitClips – 97 per cent
Floppy disc – 97 per cent
Nintendo 64 – 97 per cent
Sega Mega Drive – 97 per cent
A pager – 97 per cent
A Walkman/Discman – 97 per cent
Cassette tapes – 97 per cent
Game Boy – 97 per cent
MSN Messenger – 97 per cent
