Don’t even think about it mister! South West tops love rat poll
The South West has topped a poll for harbouring the biggest number of potential cheats.
In a study of Brits, 41 per cent of men think it is more acceptable to cheat on their partners when in a different postcode region.
The South West had the highest number of cheats with a whopping 74 per cent of men admitting they would consider cheating on their partner whilst on holiday.
The research from independent online travel agent Sunshine.co.uk reveals the regions with the potential for love rats according to answers given by the men themselves show the South West at the top, followed by the Midlands, Scotland, Wales then the South East.
Men in Northern Ireland appear to be the most faithful of the bunch with just 18 per cent admitting they would cheat on holiday.
Social networking sites do make some straying lovers think twice, with more than one in three Brits admitting that they would be worried about having an affair with potential evidence being tagged on their profiles.
Managing Director of sunshine.co.uk, Chris Brown said: “For most of us a holiday is a way to leave all our stresses behind us and it seems that for many Brits, especially from the South West, this involves forgetting about their other half stuck at home.
“Although some of us are just after a nice relaxing break, the majority of Brits are after booze and sex and so it’s no wonder we have a reputation abroad for our wild partying antics. I imagine after these results men will never be allowed away without their other half again!”
