Fake tan, make-up and hair straighteners to make toddlers pretty
The attitudes of UK parents towards dolling up their toddlers, has been revealed in a new survey.
Taboo beauty habits parents allowed their children under the age of three years to participate in, have been revealed by MyVoucherCodes.co.uk.
In a study of more than 1,000 parents, 8 per cent admitted to putting fake tan on their toddler, 21 per cent put make-up on them, 14 per cent had their ears pierced and 18 per cent used hair straighteners.
Reasons for doings so included – because their children asked them to, because the parent was bored or because it ‘looks pretty’.
Despite the infection risks associated with ear piercing guns, of those who had their under-three’s ears pierced, 53 per cent were not concerned about the safety element.
