Fake ticket warning to music fans from Bristol’s Colston Hall

MUSIC FANS were refused entry at the Colston Hall last night because their tickets were found to be faked.

Around 50 fake tickets for Maroon 5 were identified by members of staff, with all having been purchased from re-selling or auction websites.

Those in possession of the fake tickets were refused entry to the concert and told to take up the issue with the ticket seller.

Staff at the venue are now urging people not to buy from these websites.

The Colston Hall staff are now working with the police to investigate the forgeries and ways of increasing ticket security.

Sarah Hodson, Marketing Manager for Colston Hall says: “We have a series of big concerts coming up and would advise anyone who bought their tickets from a re-selling website and are worried that they could be fake to contact Colston Hall box office on 0117 922 3686 or bring the ticket into the box office. said Sarah. “We recommend that people do not buy tickets from ticket re-selling or auction websites and always buy from reputable ticket agents or Colston Hall itself.”
