Families ditch holidays because they pack too much junk

Families heading off on holiday abroad are taking ridiculous amounts of baby gear amounting to twice the flight baggage allowance.

Before even a suitcase of clothing is packed, 69 per cent of parents are packing a pram or buggy, a baby rocker, safety gate, a high-chair and bedding.

One third of parents avoid booking family holidays at all because they believe they have too much equipment to pack.

Europcamp discovered the poor packing habits of parents in a survey of Netmum members.

We find it staggering that people bother to cart a high-chair, safety gate, baby rocker and large amounts of bedding half way around the world when with a little bit of initiative there are much simpler solutions.
