Families should check their overseas visitors get their EHIC

UK families expecting relatives to visit from the EU this Easter holiday should remind them to carry their EHIC in case they need NHS treatment during their visit.

The European Health Insurance Card, or EHIC, lets people from the EU access a reduced-cost medical treatment on the NHS.

The EHIC is free and can be applied for or renewed online.
