Fantastically funny Chatimal must make Christmas top ten
If the fantastically funny Chatimal doesn’t appear in the top ten toys for this Christmas, then there is something very wrong in Toyland.
New this summer, the trio of Chatimal hamsters Max, Oscar and Sophie (sold separately) just provide tons of family fun for toddlers through to pensioners.
Very simply, all the Chatimal does is to repeat back five seconds of what you say to it in thirty second cycles.
As well as mouthing back the words, the hamster alternates between either helium high tones or a Barry White bass.
The plush toy, approximately eight inches in height, is perfect family fun and will put a smile on your boat no matter how poor a day you are having.
Chopsy Baby editor Jen tested out the Chatimal with three-year-old son Sidney. Jen says: “There was no way I was giving anyone else the responsibility of reviewing this toy after finding out what brilliant fun it is. We never tire of hearing words come out in random pitches and I have even found my son being creative by playing other sound producing toys into it to produce something new.”
The Chatimal is priced at £20 and available from Red 5 Gadget stores.
The only warning to parents is: when reprimanding a child for naughty behaviour, make sure they are not hiding a Chatimal out of sight. There is nothing like the feeling of shame when you find your parenting skills being undermined by a hamster.
