First Bristol Dyke March Takes To Central Bristol

The day celebrated celebrating the dyke and sapphic community

The city’s first Bristol Dyke March took to the streets and shopping areas of the central areas this afternoon.

The march was part of a community day for the group, which culminated in an event at Sparks Bristol.

Bristol Dyke March invited everyone to the events during the day, though specified that it was first and foremost a ‘political and community event’ which centred dykes.

Later social events on the evening was for the FLINTA community only. This is a safe space for people who identify as F – Frauen (Women), L – Lesbians, I – Intersex, N – Non-binary, T – Transgender and A – Agender.

Bristol Dyke March said the event was “celebrating the expansive definition of dyke and sapphic”.
