First Relaxed Performance to take place at the Bristol Hippodrome this year

Dick Whittington is the pantomime being performed at the Bristol Hippodrome this year.

But as well as a cast including Ashleigh & Pudsey, Ben Faulks and Eric Potts, this year will see the Hippodrome’s first ever Relaxed Performance.

The special performance will take place on December 30 2014 at 2.00 pm and is aimed at providing a show and environment suitable for people with autistic spectrum disorder, sensory and communication disorders or a learning disability.

The content of the show will not change, but modifications are likely to be made to lighting and sound cues.

The environment of the auditorium will also change in a bid to reduce anxiety and offer a stress-free approach to noise and movement.

Those booking for the Relaxed Performance, will be sent a visual story and be invited to a familiarisation meeting in the theatre.

There will also be a special chill out zone for patrons during the show.
