Floella said: “I applaud National Family Week and what they are doing to get families together.  Encouraging parents to read to their children is really important as it helps children learn a vital skill for life. ‘Story Time’ is a wonderful concept and I had great fun reading to the local school children”.

The ‘Story Time’ was one of many activities the shopping centre is putting on to celebrate National Family Week.
‘Film Friday’, fancy dress competitions, and food events for the whole family to enjoy are planned for the rest of the week.

Sophie Scott Marketing Manager for Lakeside said: “We are delighted to support National Family Week and its aim of promoting and celebrating family life in Britain. National Family Week will encourage millions of families and organisations to celebrate family life within their local communities and as our shopping centre is located in the very heart of the communities that we serve, we see this as very natural partnership to help support this event”.
