Fulham gastropub welcomes children
“In France, eating out is something that all the family enjoys together. One can’t very well welcome parents but not their offspring,” says Olivier Lavigne du Cadet the founder of Fulham gastropub.
“It’s for that reason that we’re going the extra mile to make eating out fun for children. We want our guests to have a local where they can feel comfortable bringing kids of any age.”
Since opening in February this year, Olivier has been aiming to create a relaxing environment for families wishing to eat out, ditching predictable kid’s menus and treating them with a little more respect.
Equally thrilling for parents, the children’s menu, featuring locally sourced 100 per cent British Beef Hamburger, Spaghetti Bolognaise and Home Made Chicken Nuggets and Green Peas, is entirely free for children under the age of eight years.
As well as providing crayons and colouring paper to keep little ones entertained, the venue also has smaller sized tables and chairs just for them.
My Dining Room will also be running cooking classes for children from 21 July where youngsters will work with the head chef learning to create simple dishes and cupcakes.
