Grandparents childcare commitments stops holidays
The responsibility of providing childcare to their grandchildren is stopping grandparents from being able to go away on holiday.
A total of 32 per cent of grandmas felt the obligation to skip holidays compared to 28 per cent of granddads.
Around 22 per cent of UK grandparents admit to looking after their grandchildren for 20 hours or more every week.
According to the poll by Leger Holidays, the weekly average was just six hours.
