High earning parents say term time holiday did not harm job success
High earning British parents didn’t suffer academically from term time holidays, a new poll by VoucherCodesPro.co.uk finds.
According to a study of more than 2,000 parents earning £60,000 a year or more, 92 per cent of those whom had been taken out of school to go on holiday said it had not affected their future success.
Parents with children in primary school were more likely to take them on holiday during the school year than those in secondary school.
Reasons given for this was that parents felt their child wouldn’t miss out greatly being away from school for one or two weeks.
And an equal number said it was to take advantage of cheaper holiday prices.
