Hurtwood Prize for Young Filmakers open for entries
A new film competition has been designed to give 16-21 year olds a kick start to a potential career in the creative industry.
The Hurtwood Prize for Young Filmmakers is currently open for entries and closes on the 06 August 2012.
Entrants are being challenged to shoot their own music video from one of four tracks by bands signed with Polydor.
The bands include the Maccabees, Spector, Lawson and Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaur.
The judging panel will be made up of industry experts and the bands, who will choose 10 finalists to attend an intensive film workshop. From this, one ultimate winner will get to shoot an official music video for one of the bands.
In order to support entrants, a series of tutorial interviews with all the professionals whose work goes into the making of a music video can be viewed at www.youtube.com/hurtwoodprize
