Iconic Avon Tyres Bridge at Castle Combe Makeover for 60 Years of Sponsorship
Anyone who has ever had the joy of watching Saloon Cars having a barney at The Esses at Castle Combe Circuit, will also know well the Avon Tyres Bridge at Camp Corner.
This Easter, the bridge showed off its fresh makeover as Avon Tyres and Castle Combe Circuit celebrated its 75 year association and 60 year sponsorship.
The deal is believed to be the longest running sponsorship at any circuit.
Famous names to have passed under the Avon bridge include Ayrton Senna, Nigel Mansell, David Coulthard, John Surtees, Mike Hailwood, John McGuinness and Barry Sheene.
Managing Director of Castle Combe Circuit, Graham Marshall said:“The Avon Bridge is an iconic landmark and probably the most recognisable feature of the circuit. We are delighted that our long standing partnership with Avon Tyres is extending into a new era with the bridge’s fantastic new livery. It marks the final threshold all drivers cross to join the circuit but it also performs a vital function of providing safe foot passage for our thousands of loyal spectators.”
