It’s Never Boring in St Judes Bristol – Overlearning For Dyslexics St Judes Style
Sesame Street Wade Street was brought to you today with…
One of the learning methods that has been recommended by various professionals to help my child learn through dyslexia is overlearning.
Repetition and overlearning helps dyslexic children with working memory difficulties to master things they find difficult.
We were incredibly lucky on Wade Street this afternoon to get a brilliant masterclass in overlearning during a punch up between two local residents.
Whilst repeatedly punching each other in the face, they kindly repeated the the phrases:
You selfish xxxxxxx xxxx
You xxxxxxx xxxxx
As the debacle went on for a good ten minutes, my dyslexic child had a wonderful opportunity to overlearn the two phrases which she managed to repeat back accurately and without difficulty.
If only every dyslexic child was lucky enough to have the opportunity to live in St Judes.
