Luckwell Primary School turned around with strong leadership and outstanding practice

A Bristol primary school is celebrating an Ofsted ‘good’ just 14 months after being judged inadequate.

With 204 pupils, Luckwell Primary School in Bedminster, is now judged to have strong leadership with some outstanding practice and good behaviour from pupils.

Headteacher Kevin Jones said: “I’m delighted that inspectors have recognised, under some tough criteria, that Luckwell Primary School can give its pupils a good education. We have some excellent teachers and our job now is to ensure that standards are consistently high across all classes.”
