Mother’s love helps adults cope
A good dose of mother’s love is all it takes to avoid emotional problems when children grow into adults.
The amount of affection a mother shows her child at around the age of eight months has been found to be an indicator of how well adults cope with upset in later life.
Research from Duke University in the USA and published in the Journal of Epidemiology and Community Health found that high levels of maternal affection enables a child to develop ‘effective life, social, and coping skills’ that see them through their adult life.
